The weekly list you'd otherwise pay a VA to dig up.

PlainLead reads public records and procurement portals every week, checks each entry, and emails you a short list you can act on — with the source linked on every line.

No logins. No dashboards. One email a week.

How it works

1. We pull

Official sources only: SAM.gov data, city and county open-data portals, agency bid pages.

2. We check

Every entry is confirmed open/current, de-duplicated, and anything we couldn't verify is marked as such — never guessed.

3. You get one email

A PDF and CSV each week, sorted by what matters: deadlines, walkthroughs, filing dates. Every line links to the source.

Two lists, more on the way

Janitorial & custodial bid digest

For commercial cleaning contractors

  • Open federal janitorial/custodial bids (SAM.gov, NAICS 561720)
  • Southern California cities, counties, schools, transit and airports
  • Flags mandatory walkthroughs — including ones already passed, so you don't chase bids you can't submit
  • Upcoming walks in the next 14 days, deadlines, set-asides

Distressed-property leads

For real estate investors and wholesalers

  • New code violations
  • Vacant and unsafe building filings
  • Demolition orders and permits
  • Foreclosure registry entries
  • Coverage: Los Angeles and Philadelphia

FAQ

Where does the data come from?

Public sources only: the SAM.gov Contract Opportunities public data extract, agency bid pages and public bid listings, and city/county open-data portals (for example, Los Angeles and Philadelphia code enforcement and permit data). Every line in an issue links to its source.

How do you "verify"?

We confirm each bid is still open or each record is current as of the issue date, remove duplicates and amendments, and cross-check fields between sources. When a field can't be confirmed, we say so instead of filling it in.

Is this the same as a bid-matching or lead-list database?

No. It's a short, curated weekly list for one trade or one market — closer to what a good researcher would hand you on Monday morning.

Compliance: can I call or text these leads?

We compile public records; we don't provide consent to contact anyone. You are responsible for complying with the TCPA, Do-Not-Call registries, and state and local laws before any phone, text, or mail outreach. Nothing here is legal advice.

Do you guarantee I'll win bids or deals?

No. We save you the digging. Always confirm dates and addenda on the official posting before you bid.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. Just reply to any issue.
